Professor Samuele Marcora studied sports science and human physiology at the University of Milan (Italy), the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (USA), and the University of Wales-Bangor (UK).

After a successful academic career at Bangor University, Professor Marcora is now at the University of Kent as Director of Research of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. His current research combines exercise physiology with motivation psychology and cognitive neuroscience to investigate the role of the brain/mind in fatigue, endurance performance and physical activity behaviour.
